The Magellan 3400VSi scanner series continues the Datalogic tradition of high-performance imaging for the high-volume sales point. Duplicating the speed and wide field of view of laser scanners and expanding imaging capabilities, the 3400VSi scanners deliver outstanding performance on impact-tested barcodes and a seamless reading of a wide variety of barcodes . This Magellan scanner allows both high-speed scanning and presentation scanning techniques, ensuring maximum productivity and ergonomics, even with truncated (shortened), out-of-specification or misprinted codes.

The optional Magellan Customer Service Scanner (CSS) allows retailers to easily engage their customers in mobile commerce programs, allowing them to scan barcodes from mobile screens or paper coupons while the cashier continues to scan regular items in parallel, resulting in a significant reduction in total transaction time.
