DATALOGIC HERON D3130 barcode scanner configuration guide: how to set keyboard language

In the USB keyboard emulation configuration, the barcode reader needs to set the keyboard layout; the various countries have a different arrangement of special keys; for example the default keyboard, with American layout, shows the apex instead of the hyphen.

 

To set the configuration you have to:

  • Download the guide from this link
  • Print the page with the keyboard configuration you desire: you can find them starting from page 46 of the pdf (36 of the guide).
  • Scan the Enter/exit programming mode barcode
  • Scan the barcode of the keyboard configuration you desire: for example scan the Country Mode=Britain barcode
  • Scan the Enter/exit programming mode barcode
